St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright and Pappy's Smokehouse: a great combination!

Wainwright, the 2009 Cy Young Award runner-up, was at the restaurant this afternoon to help raise funds for The Catch a Dream Foundation. Pappy's gave 100 percent of their sales to the Foundation, plus patrons could buy raffle tickets to win a whole hog, gift certificates, and a Wainwright autographed game-used road jersey from last year.

Oh, and the ribs: delicious!

Actor and comedian, Tom Arnold, is in Springfield, IL, this weekend for four show at Donnie B's Funny Bone Comedy Club.

This shot followed last night's second show as he visited with fans, took pictures, and signed lots of autographs. He also had t-shirts for sale, one of which said, next to a caricature of Tom, "It could be worse, YOU could be Tom Arnold."

Just like this author, Tom knows and loves his watches. He was sporting a mammoth Invicta Corduba on the left wrist last night.
